Our theme for this new decade is one borrowed from an ancient Chinese Zen Master: Hope for the best, prepare for the worst, and expect the unexpected!

IRAQ: Nation building will be the focus of activity in Iraq this year.  The military situation on the ground will be less bloody this year (however the bloodshed  and bombings will still continue none the less). Thousands of US troops will leave Iraq and move to Afghanistan where they will be part of the troop surge there.  For American soldiers, life in Iraq is a “cake walk” compared to life in Afghanistan.

AFGHANISTAN: The American troop surge will prove to be successful in the short -run, however, the Taliban and Al Qada will counter attack with great force–giving it everything they have.  Jihadists will continue their daily attacks on at Bagram Airport, and the  “heavily armed”, little agile American helicopters will take off and every day to eliminate them (like a deadly game of cat verses mouse). Nation building is the name of the game for Afghanistan in 2010.

Troops should look out for larger sized I.E.D.’s this year. Beware of the enemy’s use of new tactics (they have some new tricks up their sleeves this year).  When people see themselves losing a war, they will do desperate unthinkable things in order to keep from losing–so beware. Don’t fall asleep on sentry duty and keep your finger on the trigger of your gun.

IRAN: The military and economic noose will slowly tighten around the neck of Iranian President Ahmadinejad.  The West is giving him time to come clean on his nuclear program.  If he fails to comply with the wishes of the world he can expect a certain military defeat some between now and 2013.  The newest dictator of the Middle East is very unpopular in his country right now and it might be possible that he will flee from his nation if things get  ”too hot” for him  (like his nemesis “the Shah” had to do.) The eyes of the world will be on Iran this year.

Pakistan: The American Government told the leaders of Pakistan to expect more attacks on high-ranking Jihadists this year by American (and NATO) Special Forces and Drone aircraft. The eyes of the world will be on Pakistan as these military events unfurl throughout the border region (and beyond).

TERRORISM: Small acts of terror might occur in North America, Asia, Europe, and Africa–but I don’t think that any large acts of terror (like on the scale of 9-11) will occur this year within the United States or Europe.  Presently–I don’t see any indications of this occurring.  Homeland Security seems to work overtime defending us against terrorism, however, there are still flaws in our systems and defenses. It’s still a dangerous world out there, so people must keep their guard up and their thinking caps on, as we fight to defend ourselves against senseless acts of terrorism.

THE ECONOMY: Presently our economy is an Obama Nation (LOL). I expect the economy to get even worse this year (as if 2009 wasn’t bad enough).  We might see small precursory signs of economic improvement here and there, but when it comes to the over all big picture—the economy is still in a huge mess and I expect unemployment to rise even higher in 2010. Where did all the money go?  Where did all the jobs go?  Where did all of the economic opportunity go? The rich appear to be getting richer at the expense of the poor.  Capital is worshiped– while labor is taken advantage of.  This trend must end. Give us jobs Mr. President.

HURRICANES, I think that only a couple small (low power) hurricanes will reach American shorelines this year resulting in minimum property damage (Mother Nature will give us break in 2010).  However, this forecast is contingent upon other data so it’s still too early to tell.

UFO SIGHTINGS: For some unknown reason the geographical regions of Stephenville, Texas, and Mexico City have been the locations of spectacular and bizarre UFO sightings over the last few years.  Will both of these regions continue to be visited by UFO’s in 2010, or will they find other places to appear over the course of the new decade?  All eyes will be upon the skies in the coming year.

FOREST FIRES: In the not too distant past a large forest fire would be considered a 10,000 or 20,000 acre inferno.  But recently, perhaps due to global warming, the large forest fires can be as large as 200,000 acres (10 times the size of normal forest fires).  Nine states have seen record fires in the last ten years.  Huge fires in the mountains is now the norm.

This poses a huge public safety risk to citizens and I think that the Unites States Air Force needs to dedicate more of its airplanes to helping the states fight this threat. The year 2010 might be a record year for forest fires in the United States.

POLITICS: I hope our government comes up with a health care program that will help millions of Americans.  At this time it is too early to know exactly what the result will be.   And instead of giving our money away to banks, insurance companies and corporations, the president should strongly consider giving every American taxpayer who makes less than $100,000 a year a tax rebate from between $300 and $500.  Nixon did it and he can too. In this way we could truly stimulate the economy from the ground up. Obama better do something for the poor and the middle class (America’s new poor) or he will most likely end up being a one term president.  Being the president is no easy job–however–we need results and we need them quick.

EARTHQUAKES: The new decade (2010 to 2020) might be the decade that the New Madrid fault line finally collapses.  If this were to occur it could easily kill tens of thousands of people in the region around Tennessee, Missouri, Arkansas, Illinois, and elsewhere.  The USGS needs to closely monitor the conditions around this area, and inform the public “in timely fashion” if they see indications of massive geological activity.  California is also an active area and this heavily populated area also needs to be closely monitored for public safety.

THE POPE: It is a hard job being the pope.  I hope that people support the pope in all of the difficult work that he undertakes this year.  According to the prophecies of the Irish Bishop Malachi (from the 1300’s), the next pope after pope Benedict will be “the last pope” of the Catholic Church–followed by something like judgement day.  Nostradamus seemed to have prophesied that this last pope will be Italian.  Malachi’s spiritual name for this next pope is Peter the Roman. He will be a young and powerful pope and will lead his flock through many tribulations.

POPULATION GROWTH: The states which will continue to grow the most (in terms of population) will be Texas and North Carolina.

HEALTH: If you want to lose weight, tone your muscles, and generally feel great about life–go ride a bicycle several times a week.  Riding a bike is the fountain of youth.  It is fun, you already know how to do it, and its cheap to buy one–so go for it. It is so good for your body and mind its incredible. For less than $150 dollars you can own a bike, a helment, a tire pump, and some good riding gloves (and a light).  In addition to this try eating less beef and pork this year and eat more fruit and vegetables.  If you have ever thought about doing Yoga now is the year to start.  Yoga has dozens of positive rewards associated with it and you will be glad that you finally did something for yourself.

NO–ITS NOT THE END!  THE WORLD WILL NOT END IN 2012, AND NOSTRADAMUS NEVER SAID THAT IT WOULD!  I would say that certain people in film making and the media are getting carried away in their promotional propaganda, placing hype above reality (all for the sake of  box office revenue and TV viewer ratings–and at the expense of truth).

Have you heard the insane rumor that the world is suppose to come to an end in December, 2012?  Let me assure you of this–I have spent 15 years researching the prophecies of Nostradamus and “nowhere in his prophecies does he suggest that the world will end in 2012!” In fact–this has to do with the Mayan Calender expiring–and doesn’t have “jack” to do with Nostradamus!

How dare they lie and intentionally misrepresent the words of a prophet, just so they can try to sell tickets for a “science fiction disaster movie”! Don’t get me wrong, 2012 was a good movie, but come on– its only science fiction.

Even worse,  according to scholars in Mexico, just because the Mayan Calender expires  on December 12, 2012, it does not mean the world is coming to an end.  It simply means the end of one age and the beginning of another one.

One of my duties as the Director of the Nostradamus Society of America is to “seperate bullsh#t from reality” (and “fact from fiction”).  Therefore, I can promise you that Nostradamus stated in his Epistle to his prophecies that the world would end in 3797 (due to burning stones from the heavens hitting the surface of the Earth).  He named this event “the final conflagration”.  This gives us 1788 years until the end of the world (according to Nostradamus).  So don’t hold your breath waiting for the end!

Can you imagine “how stupid” the people who claim the world is going to end in 2012 will feel when they wake-up with hang-overs, on New Year’s Day of 2013–only to realize that the world “didn’t” come to an end?  They will be the”laughing stalks of the world”.

Therefore, although I advocate the right to everyone having an opinion (and expressing it)–I want to make sure that people know what my opinion is–Nostradamus never said the world will end in 2012!   So, let’s don’t confuse the philosophy of the Mayans (with the Prophecies of Nostradamus), or with the bullsh#t of film makers.

This latest Nostradamus program on the History Channel should be interesting to watch.  As a Nostradamus author, I find the topic of the Antichrists to be one of the most interesting aspects about his prophecies.  Napoleon, Nostradamus’ first Antichrist, killed about five million people in his wars (according to my research), Hitler, Nostradamus’ second antichrist, killed millions more (including the shame of the Holocaust).  Who is Nostradamus’ third Antichrist?  How many people will he kill?

It’s too early to tell if Osama bin Laden might turn out to be the third Antichrist.  Afterall, he is uncaptured at this time.  What terror might he perpetrate against us over the next few years?  Could the President of Iran be a candidate for the Third Antichrist? He steals elections and guns down his own people (like a cold-blooded Satanic murderer). Could China be the nation that “rises above all the other kings of the Orient” only to produce the world’s next antichrist? Only time will tell.

It is very clear to me that Nostradamus was a blessed and highly gifted prophet who somehow saw into the future.  Don’t let the lies and tricks of the skeptics deceive your judgement.  Nostradamus was a true prophet and history clearly supports this position.

I could hardly believe what I was reading the other day.  According to a recent article by the Associated Press, there is a huge garbage pile (the size of the state of Texas) floating on the surface of the north Pacific Ocean.  Can you believe that?  Doesn’t that sound terrible?

The floating garbage pit contains mostly plastic items, which appear to the eye as “snowy confetti” and have a negative impact upon the marine life in the area (i.e., plankton, small fish, and aquatic birds).  The real extent of damage posed by this threat is still undetermined and presently under investigation.

I suggest that people write a letter to the United Nations (in New York City) and ask them to please do what they can to devise a game-plan to somehow clean this mess up.

Polluting our oceans and killing marine life is something that none of us should tolerate.

How this mess could effect the world’s food chain is also undetermined at this time.

Hopefully you won’t find a small piece of plastic inside of your can of tuna when you open it up.  But who knows—you better look closely at it before you take your first bite!

“Oh my god—holy sh#t—I can’t believe what I’m seeing here!  This is terrible! I wonder how many people just died inside of those two towers?  Who is responsible for this?” That’s what I was saying to myself on the morning of 9/11 as I watched the towers fall—while thousands of people died before my eyes.  I was very angry then, and I’m still angry about the events of that day.  God bless the people who died that day.  My they rest in eternal spiritual peace.

Eight years later, I can’t believe that Osama bin Laden has yet to be killed or captured!  He’s the biggest terrorist on planet Earth (the “great king of terror” as Nostradamus called him) and he is still running around free somewhere in Pakistan.  Is he hiding in a house somewhere in Multan, or is he hiding out in a cave full of cockroaches somewhere on the border of Afghanistan and Pakistan?  Where on Earth is Osama bin Laden (the evil megalomaniac killer of Christians and Jews). I look forward to the day that Osama gets blown-up by a Hell Fire missile.

Several years before 9/11 occurred it was obvious to me (as a Nostradamus researcher) that some type of military or terrorist event (involving an aerial event over New York City) was going to occur “sometime” around the change of the millennium.  Nostradamus made several predictions foreshadowing this event—and you can read all about them by ordering a copy of my book “Remember The Future (The Prophecies of Nostradamus)”.

 Pirates on the Seas     The civilized nations of the world will no longer tolerate “piracy on the high seas”!  Presently, several nations have stepped forward to unite against this centuries old problem.  In addition to using modern, hi-tech naval forces to fight these pirates, the owners of transport ships, cruise boats, and merchant ships should consider buying small arms and arming their crews with them.  Instead of surrendering to the pirates they should fight them (and blow them out of the water)! 

That’s right–ship crews should fire 5000 rounds of  Nato 7.62 ammunition at the “bullies of the seas” (along with a few RPG’s) and see if that changes the game plans of those pirates.  I bet that would give them a whole new attitude for 2009 (and stop the problem for good).  Instead of fearing pirates, they should turn the game around on them, and make the pirates “fear their prey”.  1000 dead pirates later the problem would stop.

 IRAQ     In a military sense  the Coalition Forces appear to have the “upper hand” in Iraq.  Their nation building activities appear to be successfull.  Troops should look out for all the typical traps that the enemy like to use against our troops.  Bombings and sniping will most likely continue, however, the over-all game plan of making a new nation amazingly appears to be on track.

 SECURITY/TERRORISM     It is my opinion that Africa and Asia will see more bombings and terrorism than Europe and New World will see in 2009.  Of course everyone should remain vigilant in their fight against terrorism (and whenever there is an opportunity to strike back against evil terrorists–we should!  Hell Fire Missiles, 7.62 mm NATO rounds, .50 caliber shells,  and 20 mm cannon rounds work quite well in this capacity

ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION     Just like last year, the social trend of “reverse immigration” back to Mexico will continue to be the trend in 2009.

AMERICAN JOBS    Under the Bush Administration the Dept. of Labor did three things for the American worker.  #1.  They exported American manufacturing jobs over to China.  #2.  The domestic jobs were held for illegal Mexican immigrants to take.  #3.  Or, they did “nothing at all” to help the American worker.   Hoefully Presient Obama will correct this trend and put the American worker back into a place of success and prosperity.

CUBA    Maybe this year (or in a year or two) there will be a lot of positive changes in the relationship between Cuba and the United States.  Moving forward to create a positive and productive relationship between these two countries will prove to be a good thing for everyone concerned.

Pakistan     There will be a lot of heat on the nation of Pakistan this year.  Their are many problems in this region to consider.  First there is the issue if security in Afghanistan, and then there is an even bigger problem to examine between Pakistan and India.  If diplomacy fails in this region it could lead to a huge and awful war India and Pakistan which could possibly develop into something like Word War III.  So–people need to remain “wise and prudent” in thier diplomatic efforts in Asia.

THE PRICE OF GAS     The Petrol Merchants wre kind to lower the price of gas from $4.50/gallon, down to $1.50 per gallon.  I guess enouugh people complained about it (just short of revolution in the streets) in order to force these heartless merchants to lower their prices.  Hopefully prices will remain low for awhile, however, every May, they always seem to raise the price of gas just before American families take their summer vacations (so beware).

UFO SIGHTINGS     I believe this might prove to be another year of exciting mass UFO sightings (like have been occuring in Stephenville, Texas and in Mexico City).  If these UFO’s are manned by a highly advanced species of alien life-forms, then let’s hope that they can tell us what we need to do to save our planet from ecological destruction.  According to UFO abductees–the message these space travelers are attempting to tell us is that we are slowly destroying our home planet of Earth (and that we better realize is and correct things before it is too late to).

Israeli authorities announced that the Dead Sea Scrolls (the oldest version of the Hebrew religion) are being photographed using American space technology and will be posted on the internet for everyone to see.  Cameras using high-tech infrared photography are being utilized to uncover sections of the text which have faded over the centuries.  They will digitize some 900 fragments and authorities estimate that the project will take about five years to complete.  This is interesting news considering that Nostradamus was of Jewish descent.
