THE SPACE BEAT
NASA’s new space-vehicle will be named the Orion. It will be the replacement craft for the fleet of aging space shuttles when they retire in 2010. The rockets which will power the new exploration crafts (one type of craft for transporting humans and the another for carrying cargo) will be named the Ares I and Ares V. The people at NASA have been very busy working on the design of the next generation of space craft, as have the big three aerospace contractors who are interested in building them. Hopefully this next generation of craft will be safer than the shuttles were. We wish them luck on their endeavor, considering the fact that Nostradamus appears to have made several predictions about outer-space (the most famous one being the landing on the Moon).
